Tony and Anne Frye founded Frye-Shaffer Insurance in 1983. Tony and Anne’s successful lifetime of education, business experience, and community service are the cornerstones of the business practices at Frye-Shaffer Insurance.
Tony held the prestigious CPCU (Chartered Property & Casualty Underwriter) designation that required passing ten national examinations on all aspects of the insurance industry; the CIC (Certified Insurance Counselor) designation and the AAI (Accredited Advisor in Insurance) designation. Anne graduated from Tusculum College (B.S. Business). She holds the CIC (Certified Insurance Counselor) and the CPIW (Certified Professional Insurance Women) designations. She worked with many small businesses in the Bristol area before cofounding Frye-Shaffer Insurance. Her unique background, cheerful character, attention to detail, and over 30 years of insurance experience truly benefited clients of Frye-Shaffer Insurance.
Together Tony and Anne built a legacy of excellent customer service and best practices creating the most knowledgeable agency in the Mountain Empire. After the death of Tony (2011) and retirement of Anne 2013, Randy, their son, and his wife Kelly have taken over the helm.

This allows him to relate to the challenges facing small business and find the best solution for their insurance needs.
Kelly, is excited to be working in the family owned business. She is a native of the region, graduating from Tennessee High School and Wofford College (B.A. Business Economics). Kelly brings 15 years of experience working in the construction industry. This experience gives her a unique perspective on the needs and challenges of contractors.
